HULL

The carbon epoxy laminate with PVC core, makes for a light and
robust structure that is set to last in time. -
Thin gelcoat layer: this allows for an easily maintainable and repairable surface; small scratches or small damages can be effortlessly repaired to keep your hull in top condition.

Delrin Main Foil and Rudder Bearings: CNC machined bearings allow
for a consistent, tight fit between your foils and the boat.
WINGS

Composed of three assemblies:
▫ Front Beam
▫ Stern Beam
▫ 2 Outboard Beam

Two prepreg vacuum moulded centre pieces and four corner pieces are moulded in aluminium tooling and bonded with CST wound tubes using CNC machined jigs so that the assembly is light, stiff and consistent.
SPARS

A 3 piece system with CST carbon mast tubes was chosen for repeatability and consistency.

FOIL

No compromise in performance: A mix of High Modulus prepreg and
Intermediate Modulus prepreg is implemented in the layup of the foils
resulting in excellent stiffness and strength and accuracy to our strict One Design standards
ONE-DESIGN TECHNOLOGY
Every part of the Switch is built to the highest quality standards. With CNC
machined moulds and tooling, numerically controlled cutting machines and rigorous quality control Element6Evolution ensures the tightest possible tolerance on every component.
Computerized Numerical Control precision
• Hull and deck moulds are 100% carbon/epoxy from a CNC made master plug.
• Aluminium CNC tooling is used for all wing and foil parts.
Computerized Numerical Control Cut material
All fabrics, prepreg and cores are cut on CNC controlled cutting machines guaranteeing accuracy and repeatability.
Quality Control inspections
• All the components and materials go through a purpose designed quality control system.
• Geometry, weight and stiffness are checked.
Event Checks
Element6 will supply to the Switch Class Measurers rigs and templates that will be used at national and international events to ensure conformity of all components and fair racing.
